Control4 talks to the Casambi lights over your own home network. The internet can drop, the cloud can have a bad day — the keypad by the door still works.
The Casambi cloud is only used for setup and the phone app. It is never in the path of a button press.

01Sixteen drivers. One Hub.16 drivers
The Casambi Hub runs on the controller, discovers every device, group, sensor and keypad the gateway reports, and lists each one ready to link. You add the matching device driver, set it to Linked to Hub and drag it onto the entry — no network address, id or device number to type.

Control4 talks to the Lithernet Casambi gateway over the local network, and the gateway talks to the Bluetooth mesh. The Casambi app and its own cloud work separately and are not part of this path.

05Deployment4 points
Pre-provisioned per project. Production drivers are built per project by Kodaa, licensed per project and non-transferable; the dealer sets only the gateway connection on install.
Non-transferable licence. Each project's drivers are licensed to that project only, so they cannot be reused on another site. Discovery and control work normally within the licensed project.
Local network only. Keep the gateway, controller and integration on an isolated local network, never on an internet-facing path. There is no cloud dependency in the control path.
Confirmed on site. AC control is enabled only after the appliance's element map is confirmed on site; a handful of write paths are validated during commissioning.
